Permitting and perc testing services

At o&n consulting LLC, based in Archbald, Pennsylvania, we guide property owners through soil percolation testing and township septic permitting with clarity and precision. From initial soil probe evaluations to final permit sign-off, we ensure your project moves forward smoothly.

When you need testing and permits

Early soil evaluations and township coordination protect your investment and keep your project on schedule. Here are the most common situations where our perc testing and permitting assistance are essential.

Land purchases and new builds

Clients reach out before purchasing vacant land or building a new home to evaluate soil conditions and ensure the site can legally support an on-lot septic system.

Expansions and bedroom additions

Adding bedrooms or expanding your living space increases wastewater flow requirements, often necessitating updated testing and revised township permitting.

System failures and replacements

If an existing septic system has failed or reached the end of its life, we conduct soil tests to locate a viable replacement absorption area and prepare a new design.

Hassle-free township approvals

Navigating local municipal requirements can be overwhelming. We assemble every necessary septic document, coordinate directly with your municipal Sewage Enforcement Officer (SEO), respond promptly to requested revisions, and keep you informed at every step to prevent unnecessary delays.

What happens during a perc test

During a percolation test, test holes are excavated in the proposed absorption area and the soil's water absorption rate is precisely measured under the supervision of the township Sewage Enforcement Officer. Soil probe evaluations are also completed to examine soil horizons and identify any limiting zones. Preliminary results are typically available on the day of testing, followed by finalized documentation once township review is complete.

From passing results to design and installation

After your site passes perc and soil testing, our team uses the approved data and property parameters to engineer a tailored septic system design. We submit the design package for township review, handle all adjustments, and coordinate the complete installation according to the permitted plan. We stand by you through every mandatory inspection until the Sewage Enforcement Officer grants final operating approval.
